Introducing the brand new “Old Fashioned Christmas” stamp set by Hannah Schroepfer for Gina K. Designs! This set is absolutely gorgeous. I can’t even. Each image is prettier than the next! I will be doing a few blog posts with this set. ❤️🎄
This card is so simple to make. I stamped the truck image with the amazing Amalgam ink on Canson watercolor paper. I did very basic watercoloring on the truck using my Gansai Tambi Kuretake watercolors. I have the large set, and I noticed that most of the colors were on the bright side. I took a ceramic plate and put some of my watered down paint in a few spots on the plate, and added the tiniest touch of watered down black watercolor paint. It deepened the colors into the more vintage color palette that I was looking for.
I wanted my truck to be a really rusty red color, and the presents on top to have a vintage, classic feel. I love how the glass turned out!
Isn’t this plaid background fun? I used the Gina K. Designs Diagonal Striped background stamp in Kraft ink on Sandy Beach cardstock in one direction, and Warm Cocoa in the other direction. The combination gave such a nice rustic feel. This card would work very well as a manly Christmas card.
I used the Red Velvet cardstock for the matting of my front panel, and also for the envelope. I am so into bright pops of color with envelopes! Red Velvet is the absolute perfect Christmas red.
This work of art was created by my hubby, Stephen. He was doing pretty well until something happened with the tires. There was a technique going on there at first, trust me! But something went wrong. 😂
The design team is also featuring cards made with the new Reasons to Celebrate stamp set. I will be doing a post dedicated to this stamp set within the next couple of weeks, but here is a little sneak peek! Isn’t this the sweetest baby card?!
Thank you so much for ‘hopping’ by! We are giving away a $50 gift certificate to Gina K. Designs to one lucky winner! Comment on all the blogs to be entered! (Hop through the blogs using the links below.) Product links are below the blog links. 🙂

That plaid bg really sets off the holiday car! And I have to tell you, I didn’t notice anything wrong with your DH’s car till I read the text. I saw it as a watercolor type of thing! Your baby card is too cute! Thanks for sharing!

Your cards are wonderful Emily! I love the truck on the plaid background, so Christmasy. Your husbands attempt isn’t too bad either til you get to the tires of course.

Great cards! Love the plaid background with the truck. The background paper and the colors give it a bit of an old fashioned feel. Your hubby’s card is awesome! I love I that he made a card and I think it turned out great. It kind of looks like the road under the tires.

Beautiful cards! I love how you created the plaid background for the truck. Your husbands art piece really does look good…too bad about those tires. 🙂 I love driving through the neighborhood looking at Christmas lights every year. They look so beautiful, especially when the snow is falling!

This old truck is a hoot. Reminds me of a little punch of humor to a classic old time truck Christmas card. I love this stamp. The blog is great showing how to use each step and the colors are awesome. Good job for Gina K Design.
