Happy Blog Hop Day! Last night, Gina K. released several fun new stamp sets, and the Design Team is showing them off today and tomorrow! Gina is also giving away a $50 gift card to Gina K. Designs to a lucky winner. All you need to do is comment on all the blogs in the hop for a chance to win!
The first set we are debuting, designed by Melanie Muenchinger, is called “Puppies Galore”. This is such an accurate name, because with all the little buildable additions, you can really design puppies galore! There are so many possibilities. The cute, quippy greetings are just perfect for this set.
I stamped several leafy images from Beth Silaika’s new set, “For the Grad”, in an oval shape around my puppy image. I used a water brush to wet the stamped images of the leaves to make them look a little more messy and loosely watercolored. The puppy and berries were painted with Zig Real Brush markers, and I kept the theme of loose, messy watercolor for him. I love how scruffy he looks! I colored his eye with a bright blue pencil, and added a little white gel pen as a highlight in his eye.
Gina released some of the cutest mini stamp sets (like, really mini) that have coordinating die sets as well! The one I used today is ‘Hugs’. What word goes better with a puppy than ‘hugs’? Nothing better than a puppy hug. Unless you’re majorly allergic like my poor hubby. He’s not such a fan of the puppy hugs.
Beth Silaika released this brand new graduation set called “For the Grad”, and it is so cute! The font is so whimsical, and the greetings are so versatile!
I started off this card with a simple wreath by stamping the two leafy images around the circle with Jelly Bean Green. I didn’t use any precision with this, just freely stamped them around. I love the little dot stamps in this set, and I used the smallest one to stamp a random polka dot pattern with Soft Stone, the prettiest grey EVER.
I stamped the greeting in the banner, cut it out, and popped it right over the center of the wreath for dimension. A few Nuvo Drops in a pinky-red color made perfect little berries.
