Good morning crafty people! I’m so excited to be part of the Gina K. Designs + Picket Fence Studios + My Sweet Petunia Trifecta Blog Hop! Each company is even giving away a $50 gift card to their online shop!
The Picket Fence Studio Life Changing Blender Brushes are seriously life changing. I loved blending with them, because there are no harsh lines and the colors blend out so easily. I used these brushes with all of my stencils for my cards today, and will definitely be using them exclusively in the future!
I blended a little Gina K. Designs Sea Glass on the left corner of my piece of cardstock, softening as I got to the center. I used the same brush to lightly blend Innocent Pink over the seam before blending it out to the right edge more heavily. This created the most beautiful soft periwinkle-purple in between the pink and blue.
I stamped the flowers and leaves from the GKD Elegant Asters Kit in Chipped Sapphire and Peeled Paint Distress Oxide Ink on watercolor cardstock.
Because the oxide inks react with water, I was able to use my Gina K. Designs water brush pen to pull the color from the line art to fill the petals and leaves. (Extremely fast, cheater coloring!) I love the unique color blending that happens as a result. I dotted some white gel pen in the centers of my flowers and also drew a center on my leaves because the water weakened the definition in the line art.
I arranged a little floral bouquet in the left corner and added the amazing “hello” die from the kit! I used the Nuvo glaze for some shine.
There’s the shine. 😍
This card starts out with more blending using Gina K. Designs ink in Grass Green and Jelly Bean Green. I really faded the Jelly Bean out to nothing in that right corner, and I think it has such a nice effect.
My Sweet Petunia just released a new product called the “Cut Align”, and it does wonders for cutting sentiment strips. It allows you to cut the tiniest of strips perfect for sentiments without the suffering of using a big paper cutter.
I used my Cut Align to cut this little variety of greetings from the Gina K. Designs “Hugs” and “Smile” stamp sets on In the Navy cardstock with a little heat embossing. I also cut out the word “because” with In the Navy cardstock. My butterfly is from the Elegant Aster Kit And is done with the same technique as the flowers above.
This is such a sweet set of greetings. I was so pleased with how they came together! This would be such a nice encouragement card.
For this card I used the Picket Fence Studios Waffle Squares stencil with Gina K. Designs ink Passionate Pink, Dusty Rose, and Innocent Pink using the blending brushes for the blending.
I cut some strips out of my blended circle using the Cut Align, and taped the blended circle to a white circle. I stamped greetings from the Gina K. Designs set, “Hugs”.
Thank you so much for stopping by!
